Maa Durga-is the goddess of power and strength. She represents the power of the Supreme Being. She is multi-dimensional with many names like Mahishasuramardini, Sati, Kali, Parvati, Bhawani, Basanti, Amba etc.
Durga through all her forms shows the essence of salvation (saving people from danger or sin) and sacrifice. She is the Goddess of wealth (Lakshmi) and also of beauty and knowledge (Saraswati).
